Bitterly Cold Here Baking Hot There

If your located in England like myself you are probably experiencing numbing cold and Miserable weather. Being an Englishman I will forever have a pessimistic view on the weather, Even though its never warm in England we never really get used to the cold.

When i eventually rolled out of my warm bed this morning into the bitter cold i thought to myself “I wish i was in the Caribbean! its always hot and sunny over there”? ……. Turns out its midsummer in the Caribbean region which means theres basking sun, warm waters and best of all no snow! This definitely trumps my current situation!

The people who live on the Caribbean dont realise how lucky they are! Having a tropical climate which stays hot all year round, the surprising thing is the people actually dislike their summers because it gets way too hot, the beaches, towns and streets are baron as people dare to step out of the shade encase they get burnt this seems actually ridiculous to me as id personally be laying on the beautiful white beaches, Chilled drink in my hand a good book ,dripping from head to toe in factor 50 sun cream then Id occasionally take a dip in the bath like oceans, it just seems to good to be true, I wish they could experience what were going through they then might appreciate the beautiful weather they have been blessed with.

Many sun seekers have recently been booking Dominican Republic Holidays i cannot really blame them! It beats being shrouded in snowed due to this miserable weather, those even more fortunate have been Book a Caribbean weddingsin preparation for when they tie the knot next year.

Id love to go on Antigua Holidays This Second!! But with Christmas around the corner I highly doubt I could dig that deep into my pocket to afford it, so I say roll on the English summer.

Man Who Drunkenly Sabotaged Cruise Faces 20 Years

A Californian Man’s dangerous cruise halting prank could land him in jail for up to 20 years. Rich Ehlert, 44, entered a restricted area and operated the ship’s anchor before being apprehended by FBI agents reviewing the security camera logs. He told agents that he was intoxicated at the time, though he was apparently aware enough of his actions to wear protective gloves. He claims to have understood the mechanism because of its similarity to the one on his own 50ft boat.

 

Ehlert faces charges of attempting to ‘damage, destroy, disable or wreck’ the ship and of ‘causing damage to a ship likely to endanger safe navigation of that ship’. An FBI agent was quoted as claiming the associated jail time could be as a high as 20 years and fines of up to $250,000 dollars could result.

 

Despite Ehlert’s best efforts, the Ryndham (a Holland America cruise ship) wasn’t damaged in any way. When anchors have been released in the past, propellers and rudders have been damaged, disabling the ship. In an extreme case, the hull of the ship could be punctured, with flooding of the lower decks and even wholesale sinking resulting. The versatility of cruises and cruise-liners makes Titanic-style sinking unlikely. But though the threat of sinking is unlikely on river cruises, the 1,260 passengers of this ocean cruise were alerted by the ship’s emergency alarm for a head-count. Sinking was clearly not ruled out after this one man’s reckless actions.

 

Caribbean cruises are operated in such density that even in the outside possibility of a sinking vessel event, any number of local ships could swiftly respond. Regent Seven Seas cruises and Cunard cruises are among a whole host of operators in the Caribbean and specifically on the Florida to Mexico run that this Holland America cruise was taking. Nonetheless, questions are naturally being asked about the tightness of ship security if Ehlert waltzed so easily into a restricted area. The idea is doubly confounding when Ehlert was apparently dressed for formal dinner, James Bond Style. Hopefully, we’ll be saying ‘never’ again to escapades like this.

If you want to just chill out and relax, then Grenada is definitely the place for you! There is plenty for people to enjoy in Grenada including visiting the greener areas of the island. In a beautiful contrast of colours, Grenada has a very striking green landscape, with a powerful colour of yellow and white beaches all the way around it. So what are the best things to do in Grenada?

  • Go to Mr Rome’s museum collection. A massive collection of generally local and everyday antiques. There is a whole multitude of different items for people to see. Many of these antiques come from Grenada, and the early part of the 20th century!
  • There is Also a Sugar factory to go and tour around. This is something that you are not likely to get the opportunity to back home, so give it a whirl. This may not sound all that amazing, but it is actually quite something. You can’t find yourself getting very bored here!
  • Take a trip to the Cocoa Fermentary. Well you just visited the Sugar refinery; why not take a trip to see how cocoa is fermented! Something sugary will probably go down quite well now. Then if I were you I would indulge in some chocolate!
  • Travel over to the Hot Springs. This is the sort of thing that we are all interested in! Hot springs people, definitely a must, volcanically powered hot springs. The springs are plenty big enough for a whole group of people. Although very pleasant I wouldn’t recommend staying here for too long!
  • Have fun at the St Georges Market. Learning what it is like to live in a country can best be learnt by mingling with the locals. There is something for everyone at this market in St Georges, not to mention that the people are very friendly!

So plenty to enjoy as far as Caribbean holidays and Grenada holidays are concerned!

The island itself is very small, but it has a lot more in store for any holiday maker. Interestingly though, this island has been awarded the name as a spa island, where you can relax. But in actual fact there is much to do, it is just that many people don’t know what that is! So for all Inclusive holidays this is definitely worth its money, you just need to read through these points!

  • Go on a safari, yes that’s right in St Lucia you can go on an in island safari, and there is a lot to see. You may not have to watch out for Elephants or Hippos, but there are alligators, so make sure you stay with you tour guide! It is important to remember you are in a Jungle, so stay with the tour.
  • This Volcano is the only one in the world where you can actually drive though it. That’s correct, you need not get out of your cars and travel through this place on foot, all you do is pay a toll and take a trip down the road through a Volcano! Make sure that it isn’t planned for eruption that day, and then it is definitely worth visiting!
  • Diving is another activity that is very well known here. Obviously you are in the Caribbean and the waters are amazingly azure like. Snorkeling will even give you a great view underneath the St Lucia water because it is so clear. If you are done exploring St Lucia on the land, now you can still explore further!
  • This island as mentioned is known as a Spa island. These hotels are specifically designed for your relaxation, and makes sure you are always chilled out. Any hotel that you stay at will have a variety of different spa treatments!

The Majority of you that go on Caribbean holidays or St Lucia holidays will be there for the relaxation side of things, but there is much more to do, these four points can take up a lot of time!
